We are part of the NHS (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) - Our Bereavement Service at Sobell House Hospice (https://sobellhouse.org) & Katharine House Hospice (https://khh.org.uk/needs) needs your help.

We are reaching out to as many people and organisations as possible for their support in the recruitment of new volunteers for our Bereavement Support teams at both Sobell & Katharine House Hospice. Since the end of covid, there has been a steady increase in demand for bereavement support.

Sobell & Katharine House Hospice charity offers bereavement support in your locality, whether or not their loved one has received palliative or hospice care. To support this demand, we are recruiting volunteers from your area. From October 2026 to February 2027, we will be taking application for new bereavement volunteers. Through our recruitment process, volunteers are selected and trained, and will continue to receive ongoing training, supervision and support from our bereavement team.
