A car was seized from an Oxfordshire village this morning after police noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from it. The car was stopped in Chinnor, initially because it showed as having no insurance. However, after officers noticed the strong smell of cannabis, the car was searched and seized.

The driver was also reported for not having insurance, police have said. A statement issued by Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce said: “PC Woolley stopped this vehicle in Chinnor this morning as it showed as having no insurance. “The vehicle was searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act due to a strong smell of cannabis emanating from it. "The driver was reported for no insurance and the vehicle was seized.”
